If I hung these high on the wall would these offer enough light over a desk? One for each child’s desk?
It’s more of an ambient light than bright light. For instance I put them over picture frames to highlight them at night. Hope that helps

What are the dimensions for how big the lamp is?
The shade dia is about 10". The whole lamp is about 15" far from wall, and 9.5" in height.

Can this be used outside?
These lights are not recommended for exposed outdoor, because the rain can damage the battery. But it still can be used under the outdoor eaves.

How exactly do these mount to the wall?
Comes with a mounting bracket to screw into the wall and screws to get the fixture into the bracket.

What type of battery does this light use? Is it a rechargeable lithium or does it take standard AA batteries?
The lamp takes 3 pcs AA batteries. Both standard and rechargeable type of batteries are available.
When the batteries runs out, you just need to replace them with the fully charged one. The lamps will work normally again.
We recommend using rechargeable battery, which is more environmentally friendly. -
What is the diameter of the face plate that attaches to the wall? I’m looking for a fixture to hang over my bookshelves but have a limited space to attach the base to.
The diameter of the lamp plate is 4.7 inches. But due to the gooseneck arm, there is about 2.4 inches height difference.
So it may need a place with at least 7.1 inches from the ceiling. -
Are the bulbs replaceable? If so how much are they?
Yes, the led light bulbs are replaceable. Two bulbs are included in the package with the wall sconces. If you need to buy more bulbs as replacement, you can buy it by the link below:

Does the remote control power both lamps simultaneously, or can you chose one or the other?
It can control 2-3 lights within about 10 feet at the same time.
